SENATE BILL 2835 PASSES ON THE SENATE FLOOR THIS AFTERNOON
Updated On: Feb 07, 2019
The Mississippi Senate took the Mississippi First Responders Health and Safety Act (Senate Bill 2835) to the Senate Floor very quickly today. Senator Joel Carter, Jr. presented S.B. 2835 to the floor and after a floor vote, it passed with only one "nay" vote. The bill will now be moved over to the House and be assigned to committee.
We would like to thank all members of the Senate for passing this important piece of legislation today. It truly reflects how much support first responders have throughout the Mississippi Senate.
Stay tuned.....we will post updates as they become available.
