The conference will be held on Wednesday, April 5th and Thursday, April 6th. A FREE one-day summit will be held on Friday, April 7th and Saturday, April 8th.  The summit will be presented twice - once Friday and again on Saturday.

      The retirement bill we requested that allows us to get 1 year of service for every 5 years we work has errors and says we can BUY that time.  The Echols Group will work to get this bill passed with an amendment to accurately reflect what we are looking to achieve. No word yet on whether PERS will support this or not.

      On Thursday, January 12, 2017, Governor Phil Bryant announced more bad news as it relates to budget cuts totalling nearly $51 million dollars.  These budget cuts impacted almost every state agency and averaged 1.45 percent of each agencies overall budget.

The event is in the highrise at One Boston Place and begins at 8am (individual/team start times vary).       This morning SB75, a bill concerning certain benefit changes in the 1977 Police and Firefighters Pension and Disability Fund, was heard in Senate Committee on Pensions and Labor. The bill passed out of committee with an amendment. The bill as amended sends it to the Pension Management Oversight Committee (PMOC) for further study this summer.

      The Taylor fire department resumed transporting November 15th 2017. Six years have past since transporting was stopped. Tfd ended 2017 with 8802 runs and with the increase run volume that transporting will bring we expect to have well over 10,000 in 2018. We are happy to have the chance to provide premium patient care from the time you call until the time you arrive at the hospital.
