  • Statement from Professional Firefighter Association of Mississippi
    Updated On: Mar 25, 2020

    Statement from Professional Firefighters Association:

There is COVID-19 information available to first responders.  The main concern for all Mississippi personnel is proper PPE, procedures for quarantine after exposure, and leave for personnel under quarantine.

Personnel placed under quarantine should be placed on administrative leave with full pay and then seek reimbursement through FEMA.

Many questions are surfacing about exposures and whether personnel need to be off shift or quarantined. IF you have an exposure PLEASE file a workers' compensation On-The-Job- Exposure Injury Form.
